Cookies and local storage
In short: this website sets no cookies. There is nothing to consent to, which is why there is no consent banner.
What is not used
- No analytics cookies. No web analytics runs, neither third-party nor self-hosted.
- No advertising or marketing cookies. No profiles, no cross-site recognition, no fingerprinting.
- No third-party content. No external fonts, no embedded video, no maps, no social buttons, no content delivery networks. Fonts and images are served from this server.
- No consent banner. Where nothing is stored and nothing third-party is loaded, there is nothing to consent to.
What is stored locally
Exactly two things, both only in your browser, both technically necessary under section 25(2) TDDDG – they serve solely to preserve your own choice:
- Your appearance choice (light or dark), stored under the key
barth-themein your browser's local storage. It is only created when you use the switch in the header; it replaces the earlier behaviour where the page followed your operating system setting. - Your language, technically part of the address you open

/en/…) – nothing is stored for this.
Neither value leaves your device, neither is transmitted to us, neither is evaluated. You can remove them at any time by clearing site data in your browser.
Server logs
When you open the site, the server processes technically necessary data (shortened IP address, time, requested file, transferred volume, browser identifier). The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. This is neither a cookie nor analytics. Details are in the privacy policy.
Contact form and email
The contact form sets no cookies. The details you enter are transmitted by email only and are not stored in a database. To protect against automated submissions the service uses an invisible field, a timing check and a per-IP limit – without cookies and without any third-party service.
If that changes
Should cookies or third-party services be added later, this page will say so in advance and, where required, consent will be obtained before anything is stored or loaded.
